Let's see... that's Rob on the left and Douglas
on the right. On 12/1/2003 they took
title to the boat and immediately renamed it
CROSSRUFF which is a bridge term meaning to trump
alternately in two hands. Why CROSSRUFF? Well thats
what their previous boat, a 33' Bertram was named
and neither of them were clever enough to come up
with a different name.

So who are these guys and why did they buy the
boat?
Rob grew up on the gold coast of Long Island and
had most every childhood whim catered to. Douglas
had a slightly less charmed childhood being raised
by wolves in a suburb of New York City.
They first met in their early twenties and dated
briefly. They re-met fifteen
years later in an internet chat room and startied dating on 12/10/95.
They were legally married in Connecticut on 12/10/2008.
Scupper, the wonder poodle, was born on 05/06/07 and became part of the pack on
07/09/2007. Scupper and senility fuel their love
of each other, the water and 110,000 pounds of
boat.
